Honoring Ross Booth

IASE is sad to note that Vice President Ross Booth, Senior Lecturer in Economics at Monash University in Melbourne Australia, passed away in June of 2024 at the age of 72. IASE and all members of the sports economics community fondly remember Ross. He was an active participant in sport economics all over the world, attending and presenting at our conferences over many years. Ross was one of the premier researchers on sports economics in Australia. Ross was also very well known in his home country as a TV commentator and was an expert on Australian Rules Football. He was known for his approachability, kindness, and keen sense of humor.

Ross will be greatly missed by the sport economics community.
