IASE Conferences
Perceiving the need for an organization to facilitate the exchange of ideas regarding the economics of sport, economists at the CDES convened the first international summer school for sports economists on 1st-2nd July 1999 in Limoges, which brought together 22 participants from various parts of the world.
Since 1999, the Association has held annual conferences or workshops: Lisbon (2000); Malaga (2001); New York (2002); Neuchâtel (2003); Athens (2004); Ottawa (2005); Bochum (2006); Dayton (2007); Gijon (2008), Stellenbosch (2009), Portland (2010); Prague (2011); London (2012), Seattle (2013), Rio de Janeiro (2014), Limoges (2015), Venice (2016), and Shanghai (2017).
