Call for Papers - IASE Sessions - Western Economics Association International Conference January 3-6
Call for papers
The International Association of Sports Economists (IASE) invite you to submit a paper for presentation at the 13th Western Economic Association International Annual Conference in Santiago, Chile. We plan to organize three or four sessions. The Conference will take place Tuesday-Friday, January 3-6, 2017 hosted by Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Santiago at the Casa Central campus at Av. Alameda 340, downtown Santiago.
We are especially interested in papers on South American sport and international themes. However, contributions from all topic areas in sport economics will be considered. Theoretical, empirical, as well as conceptual manuscripts are welcome. Completed research and research in progress are admissible. The language of the conference is English. A session includes a chairperson, three or four papers, and at least one discussant assigned to comment on each paper. Session chairs and discussants will be comprised of those presenting papers.
Registration Fees
All attendees, pay the conference registration fee to help defray the sizable cost of organizing the conference. There is no submission fee the IASE session papers. WEAI members can submit their conference papers to either Economic Inquiry or Contemporary Economic Policy without paying the usual manuscript submission fee provided the manuscripts reach the editors within six months after the conference.
Submission Process
Abstracts (1 page maximum and 12-point font in pdf format) should be submitted before July 15 2016 by e-mail to jmax@drexel.edu and brocard@cdes.fr
Extension of the deadline to August 10th 2016.
All of the submissions will be assessed by a scientific committee.
