Call for Papers – 2nd Announcement Please be invited to submit a paper to the 9th ESEA European Conference on Sport Economics, which will be held on 30 August - 1 September 2017 at Paderborn University, Germany. The conference is open to all areas of sport economics. Theoretical, empirical, as well as concep-tual papers are welcome. Completed research or research in progress is equally admissible. Manuscripts already accepted for publication cannot be submitted. Conference language is English. For further information, please visit our website. Submission process  Submission of an extended abstract, i.e. 3 pages (12-point font) including detailed infor-mation on the theoretical background of the study, the methods used and the major find-ings, is possible between 1 January and 31 March 2017.  Please submit your abstract(s) to the following address: esea2017@mail.upb.de.  Abstracts passing the double blind review process will be accepted for presentation at the conference. Should the number of papers passing the review process be larger than the number of available slots for presentations, only one abstract per submitting author will be accepted (regardless of whether co-authors have submitted other papers). The sub-mitting author is expected to present the paper.  Abstracts submitted by graduate students may be considered for the ‘Best Young Re-searcher Paper Award'. Please indicate in the submission whether your paper should be considered, in which case it is mandatory to submit a completed paper by 1 July 2017 to p.wicker@dshs-koeln.de. For a paper to be eligible, all authors of the research paper must be graduate students, and the young researcher must agree to present the paper at the Conference.  Papers presented at the Conference will be invited to be submitted for the conference issue of the International Journal of Sport Finance (IJSF). PhD workshop Prior to the Conference, the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics of Paderborn University organizes a workshop for PhD students, with a special focus on academic writing and empirical research methods.
