Call for Papers - 21st AK Conference, June 30 - July 1, 2017, Düsseldorf, Germany


Dear Colleagues, the International Association of Sports Economists (IASE; http://www.iase-sport.org) invites abstracts for presentation at the 21st Annual Conference of the German Association of Sport Economics and Sport Management (Arbeitskreis Sportökonomie), June 30 - July 1, 2017, in Düsseldorf, Germany, hosted by the Department of Sport Business Management of the IST University of Applied Sciences for Management (http://www.ist-hochschule.de/ak-sportoekonomie_eng)

Conference Theme “20 years of sport economics and sport management in Germany – impacts on the (regional) development of sport” In 2017, the Arbeitskreis Sportökonomie celebrates its 20th anniversary. This is reason enough for the German-speaking scientific community in sport economics and sport management to take both a look back on advances of the field and a look forward on the prospects. It is however desirable to discuss the state of the field also with international researchers. Therefore English-language contributions are are particularly encouraged. However, any other relevant subject in sport economics, sport management and social sciences of sport is welcome. The conference is held on the occasion of the "Grand Depart" of the Tour de France 2017, this year staged by the city of Düsseldorf, Germany. So conference delegates will not only have the opportunity to attend that exciting sport event of worldwide renown. But also Düsseldorf is an attractive destination, nicely located on the river Rhine. For further trips, among others, Cologne and its world-heritage cathedral are nearby. Düsseldorf Airport is the third largest in Germany offering a multitude of international direct connections. Electronic submissions of structured abstracts (font size 12, max. 600 words) are invited toak-sportoekonomie@ist-hochschule.de by January 31, 2017. Please indicate if you plan to present in German or English. Submissions will be subject to double-blind peer-reviewing.
